From "Airlines of Pan American" by Eugene Banning His (Gast) April 10, 1934 crash was in an S-38. In the plane were pilot from Miami James Frink and Communications Superintendent Ivan Carlson and one other passenger. All were killed in the crash. Wreckage was found ten days later but only Gast's body was found and that was on August 18.  or would like to be added to the CNAC e-mail distribution list, please let the CNAC Web Editor, Tom Moore, know.
