We believe that William Ehmer was from Scarsdale, New York.

From Gene Banning's notes of 8/31/00:
"transferred from Miami 1/1/34; as radio operator, became pilot in Miami, transferred to Panagra in 1936."

Refer to Wings for an Embattled China by W. Langhorne Bond, page 84. Looks like Ehmer started in May 1933. Bondy also referred to Ehmer as the co-pilot and radio operator: page 85. We will get his start date correct some day.
