Ruby Winona Scott Andrews Goodlet
(1918 - 2004)


Ruby Winona Scott of Elmendorf, was born July 28, 1918, 9th of 11 children in Jourdanton to Lewis Lorenzo and Frankie (Frazier) Scott. She passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004 in San Antonio at the age of 86. She graduated from Jourdanton High School and Draughon’s Business College in San Antonio. In 1940 she married Jim Andrews. They had three children, Jim Jr., Sandra and Jerry. She later married J.P. Goodlett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Andrews, J.P. Goodlett, three brothers; Val, Carlos and Emil Scott and three sisters, Nada Moore, Oleta Marshall and Lois Rutherford. She is survived by her three children, Jim Andrews, Jr., Sandra Richter and husband Cliff and Jerry Andrews and wife Pam; one sister Marguerite Meadows of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother Homer T. Scott of Prather, California; two half brothers, Larry Scott of Florida and Bob Scott of Nacogdoches; seven grandchildren, April Church, Jennifer Smith, Kellye McLeroy, Mendy Harrison, Vanessa Adcock, Jessica Weatherby and Jimmy Andrews; six great grandchildren, Brooke, Brittney and Conner Church, Jace and Evan Scott McLeroy and Lyndsay Weatherby. Also loved ones Shirley Boudreau and Stamo Andrews and numerous nieces and nephews. Grave side services and burial were held November 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jourdanton City Cemetery. Ruby was a member of the Church of Christ. Ray Bean, minister of the Pleasanton Church of Christ officiated and Judge Taylor Brite, friend of the pioneer Scott family, gave the memoriam.
