From the book, "Santo Tomas" by Frederic Stevens: Max Douglas White (father) (1905 - 1978) Robert Douglas White (son) October 11, 2007 Hello pepperbud, Max Douglas White was my dad, my full name is Robert Douglas White. I have never gone by my first name of Robert so I seldom if ever use it.  Max White - taken just before War broke out I was less than a year old when dad and I were internened. We were interned from the beginning in 1942 till the liberation in 1945. I have little or no personal memories of the camp but I have letters, and several books written by those others who were interned. I believe there are very few copies/rare and have not been published since the originals of the book. I would like to share these as they my bring back memories both good and bad memories of others internees. I would be more than happy to share them if you will tell me how it can be done and included in you web page format. By the way, in the photograph furnished by Robin Prising, Mr. Neil Crawford and his family were and are life time family friends.
