September 7, 2005 My parents, Lewis Q. "Red" Haven Jr and Charlotte Kingsbury were interned by the Japanese. They met each other in STIC, and were moved to Los Banos. They were married in Los Banos, and I was conceived there. I was born in May, 1945, so I just missed being a camp baby. I have the official Japanese documents of their marriage. My father "Red" stayed on in Manila working for American President Lines as my mother passsed when I was about two. I didn't return to the States until I was 18. What a wonderful life being raised in Manila. To this day I have extremely close friends from those days. Lewis Q.
