My father, Daniel Shinton Gothie, LT. USN was imprisoned at Cabanatuan after the fall of Corregidor in May 1942. I have several official postcards from him. In October 1944, he was moved to Manila to board the Arisan Maru prior to its torpedoing in the South China Sea on October 24, 1944 – lost with some 1700 pows. If you have any information about him, even if that he was at Cabanatuan in that period, I’d be pleased to hear from you.
