From the book, "Santo Tomas" by Frederic Stevens, page 542:

Frank Woodruff Buckles

March 6, 2010

Hello Mr. Moore:

My name is David DeJonge and I am the spokesman and biographer of Frank Woodruff Buckles the only surviving WWI veteran of the United States who was also imprisoned in Los Banos for 39 months. If you have a way of asking your newsgroup to share memories or pictures of him with me I would appreciate it. We are working on a film about his life and any information will be helpful. Frank just turned 109 and is doing well.

Those interested in helping can email them to this address and please have them note in the subject line: "Los Banos story"

Thank-you very much for your hard efforts,

David DeJonge

If you would like to share any information about Frank Woodruff Buckles
or be added to the POW/Internee e-mail distribution list,
please let me, Tom Moore, know.
