My uncle Marvin Bowman was a prisoner on April 8, 1942 and died on December 21, 1942 in the Cabanatuan prison camp. I don't know how to find any more information about him. Please, if you could help me. He was never married and all the family he has left is seven nieces and nephews. All my life I have heard about this great man from my dad and I felt such a connection to him. I want to know more.

My uncle Marvin died before my dad met my mom. His mom was Eva and his dad was Charles Bowman. His brother, my dad, was Lee Bowman. He also had two sisters, Doris and Iola. He was born 6-29-1916. He enlisted on 5-1-1941. He set sail to the Philippine Islands on 6-1-1941. He was taken prisoner on 4-8-1942 and died 12-21-1942 in Cabanatuan prison camp from dipheria and beri-beri. I have a picture but not a military one. I will send one when I get a new scanner. He was between six feet nine inches and seven feet tall and weight less then 100 pounds when he died. My dad cried any time anyone talked about Marvin, so that is all I know. I have always felt a connection with uncle Marvin even through a never met him. I feel that he is my angel. Please put me on your e-mail list. I will send pictures.

Thank you so much.
