LET-DOWN AT SUIFU

From Fletcher Hank's, "WHEN AND HOW THE CNAC CRASHES HAPPENED ON THE HUMP AND ITS ENVIRONS DURING WWII" (hand-dated 5/4/02)

M.K. Loh, 12/18/43, C-47 #79. All 3 crew killed 10 minutes after Al Wright crashed. M.K. Loh did a let down as Al Wright had done and he had the same misfortune. George Robertson who was on top saw the two columns of smoke from the two crashes and returned to Dinjan. He flew in there the next day after the weather had cleared and went through a letdown and found it was impossible to pull up safely after an attempted let down using the company published procedure. When he landed, he started asking questions and discovered the radio station had been relocated 3 days before.
