Hello Mary & Sis,
Received your No 1 letter today. It came after the No 2. I guess you have received some of mine in the same fashion. I started numbering my letters from No. 3/ on. I didn't number my first one's because I was traveling and had no way to keep a record of the letters I had been writing.

Golley, I'm glad to get all the news of home. I bet the folks and you(?) was pretty scared when B??p? went and done what he did when he caught the swelling and ?arking of the face. The lil devil would have to do some thing like that.

Bob Billa is at SAAC and it's his Brother who is overseas for a couple of years and is in England. Bob is going thru pilot training some day. He hopes

I guess I can be expecting Harry & Sam Kong in this area soon. It won't be long till all Texas is here. Every other guy here is a Texan. Can you imagine - Can you imagine a bunch of converted Texan Indians coming home to live in Texas again. Must bring my No. 1 Indian Boy home with me to be the House Bearer. How about that. We have them running all around here to do all the work.

The Hostel here is nicely constructed and pretty nice. Not much to do but write read and sleep. Mostly sleep when you do lots of flying and you plenty of that when you get started.

They got all serviced up at operations. We should have made a couple of trips already.

(Page 3)
But they said they couldn't find us. We are billet at the Amnerican Pilot's Hostel and they were looking for us at the chinese Pilot's Hostel That made me so mad when I called operations and thet told me that I had told them where we would be and our names were listed on the American Co-pilots roster yet they couldn't locate us, so we have wasted two and half days towards checking out as a Captain. It makes me so mad causethey hsve been pulling stuff like that every since we got here. You can'y tell'em anything cause these damn ohimaman's(?) think they know it all but they don't and waun't(?) take a word of advice. I could ????? on the head 97 times.

(Page 4)
They said I will fly for sure tomorrow. I had better or I'm going down to operations and raise holy hell with that guy in charge.

Went exploring in the jungle near by today. ------- a tiger trap. Lots of pretty wild flowers. Even some wild orchids too. They smell so fragrant in the morning and after noon. Will take pictures of all this soon as I get my cameras up here.

Glad everything is OK at home. I'm fine and just got to get flying so the time will pass.

Love, Willie
