Dear Mr. Moore

My father Phil, a mining engineer at the Mindanoa Motherload was captured along with my mother Peggy. They spent approximately two years in Santo Tomas until liberation.

The folks returned to Alaska where Dad, as the States first Commisioner of Natural Resources, was largely responsible for making possible the discovery and development of the largest oil field in the United States, Pudhoe Bay. Prudhoe Bay accounts for 90% of Alaska's revenue.

My parents had a wonder and rich life. Mother passed 11/15/93 and Dad passed 6/1/01.

Sincerely,

Bruce Holdsworth
