LOUIS RAYMOND HICKSON

May 2, 2009

Dear Sir,

My Father, Louis Hickson, was a Merchant seaman (Hickson, Louis Raymond.,3rd Eng,,Civ,SS Malama,Tahiti) aboard the SS Malama which was sunk by the Japanese on 1/1/1942. He was held in Kiang Wan POW camp in Shanghai from 3/42 – 6/45. My father died when I was six years old. He never talked to me about the camps. Is there anyone in your crew that may have been interned there. Maybe they could shed some light on that part of my Father’s life. I know he was interned with the China Marines & the Marines from Wake Island. Any information you could get to me would be greatly appreciated.
