Dorothy Judith Ruo was born February 14, 1929, at home in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, to Dora Marcella Pshylucki and Frank Ruo. Dorothy was the fourth child born to Frank and Dora, with four other children to follow. All eight children lived to adulhood. Dorothy was survived by her seven brothers and sisters: Rose Ray, Carmen (Sis) Gurke, Michael Ruo, Mary (Midge) Nelms, Frank "Alan" Ruo, Jean Carol (Dolly) Totos and Robert (Bob) Ruo.

Dorothy married Harry Paul Argeris on May 30, 1948, in Revere, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Eight children were born to Dorothy and Harry: Susan, on February 21, 1949, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, Harry Paul, Jr., March 18, 1950, in Stoneham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts; Daniel Thomas, April 22, 1951, in Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts; Cheryl Denise, October 5, 1952, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts; Steven Brian, May 7, 1953, in Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts; Clark Andrew, September 21, 1955, in Everett, Middlesex County, Massachusetts; Timothy Alan, May 20, 1959, in Stoneham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts; and Laura Helen, April 2, 1963, in Everett, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

Dorothy died on June 30, 1984, in San Pablo, Contra Costa County, California.
She is survived by Harry. Dorothy was interned at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, in San Pablo, California.

As of today February 24, 2001, Dorothy is survived by eight children, 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
