July 20, 2005 Hi, I would like to be placed on your mailing list. My great-uncle Samuel Hilary Deebel (Deeble) died in Santo Tomas in April 4, 1944. I am searching for any information I can on the camp in order to write a family history. I am also interested if any memorials or tombstones have been placed for civilians who died in the camp. My great-aunt returned home to Pa. before WWII started and she is buried in PA., but we do not know where Sam is buried. I assume he is buried in the P.I. Thanks so much for your web site!
